On 15th to 17th January the secondary two pupils of Holy Innocent’s High School attended an ECG and study skills workshop to build confident and improve communication skills.The workshop was fun and interesting ,we were taught many different things to build confidents and make fast decisions.
“My favourite highlight of the workshop was learning about the six thinking hats!”,Damien Chew from class 2Love exclaimed. “ It was a really fun experience learning about the thinking hats.The trainer also showed us us a funny video to help us understand about the hats.”
We did not expect the trainer to be funny and we also did’nt think there will be games we can take part in.we thought that the workshop was going to be boring.the trainer was very kind and we played many different games,one of the games we played require us to build a box to prevent an egg from breaking when dropped from a high distance. that was the best game we played during our workshop.
“It was very meaningful because students can learn and apply soft skills like communicating with others,so that they can use it during group work project and even in the future when they go to work in this 21st century.this way students will be employer centric to secure high value skills and jobs.”Said Mr Singh form teacher of class 2Love.
Ethen quips that”I would really like a workshop like this next year I think it would be useful for us in the future.”Many of our friends also agree with Ethan.
